A special one-day pet-friendly bus route will be offering rides to and from Tsuen Wan West and Tsing Yi on Saturday (Aug 24), which also marks the first time a double-decker bus in Hong Kong to allow pets to travel alongside their owners.

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) has collaborated with the Kowloon Motor Bus (KMB) to launch the exclusive shuttle to facilitate pet owners to join the “SPCA Summer Wellness Day” event.
The circular route will be running between Tsuen Wan West and SPCA Tsing Yi Centre on August 24, with a stop at Maritime Square II.
The service will run from 11.30 am to 5.30 pm, with passengers able to reserve seats in advance. A limited number of walk-in spots will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The cost is HK$30 for one passenger and one pet.
There are also several events waiting for both pets and their owners with more details being released on SPCA(HK) social media platforms.
SPCA said the Summer Wellness Day will promise an enriching afternoon filled with pet wellness, education, and pet-friendly entertainment to celebrate the summer and the upcoming opening of the SPCA clinic at the Tsing Yi Centre.
