A 3-story tall tree fell around 1.30 pm on Kwong Lee Road, opposite the Lei Cheng Uk Swimming Pool, due to strong winds. It blocked the road and stopped traffic from moving between Kwong Lee Road and Pratas Street.
Firefighters were called to the scene to clean up the fallen tree. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
The Observatory said strong winds were expected to hit Hong Kong, with the Star Ferry Pier recording a gust of about 80 kilometers per hour at around 1.55 pm.
