A man was found dead in the Sham Tseng waters and was revealed to be a taxi driver who jumped off Tsing Ma Bridge early Tuesday morning.
Around 8 am today, a man was found flaoting at the water opposite Tsing Lung Tau Hong Kong Garden.
Rescue workers were called to the scene, and the firefighters brought the man back to the shore, where he was pronounced dead on site.
After police investigation, it is revealed that the deceased man was a 45-year-old taxi driver surnamed Chan who jumped off the Tsing Ma Bridge at around 3 am today after parking his taxi on the slow lane in the direction heading towards the airport.
A Lantau Link staff member had found an empty taxi in the area with a suicide letter and contacted the police for assistance.
The rescue workers arrived at the scene and searched the area but could not find the missing taxi driver until this morning.
