200 workers evacuated after fire breaks out at Ngau Tau Kok construction site

A fire broke out at a construction site on Kwun Tong Road in Ngau Tau Kok at around 10.19 this morning. No injuries were reported.

The fire occurred in one of the two buildings under construction. It is believed to have started on the 32nd floor among construction materials.

One jet and one breathing apparatus team were sent to combat the fire, and it took approximately 38 minutes to put out the flames. Roughly 200 workers were evacuated.

Part of the lanes of Kwun Tong Road (Yau Tong bound) near Ping Shek Lane, which was closed due to the fire, was reopened to all traffic two hours later.
