A 53-year-old female security guard, Li Zhengchun, was sentenced to two months in jail at Shatin Magistrates' Courts on Thursday after pleading guilty to bribing a driving examiner from the Transport Department with a HK$404 mooncake voucher during her driving test.
She previously admitted to one count of offering an advantage to a public servant. The incident took place on September 14 last year at the Hong Kong School of Motoring in Sha Tin, during Li's private car driving test.
During the test, Li made the mistake of parking her vehicle partially outside the designated parking space. She then twice offered the mooncake voucher to the examiner after being informed of the error.

Passing sentence, acting principal magistrate Amy Chan Wai-mun slammed Li’s actions for undermining the fairness of the licensing system.
Chan also admonished Li for her actions that harmed public interest, adding that a deterrent sentence is required to serve as a warning to others.
After deducting a one-third discount for her guilty plea, Barnes reduced Li’s prison term to two months, from a starting point of three.
