McDonald's restaurants in Hong Kong have been forced to revert to cash and paper dockets on Friday after the fast-food chain’s computer system was hit with malfunctions.
Similar problems have also been reported in the chain’s restaurants in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan.
Front of house staff of McDonald’s in the territory were seen writing down or verbally giving orders to staff working in the kitchen this morning, they were also using calculators for transactions.
As of 4 pm, McDonald's Hong Kong updated its Facebook stating its computer system is gradually resuming back to normal and apologized to customers for the inconvenience.
