Six restaurants in Hong Kong awarded new Michelin stars in 2024

The recent release of the Michelin Guide to Hong Kong and Macau 2024 saw one upgraded restaurant and several new additions to the list in Hong Kong. 

There are a total of 79 restaurants in Hong Kong that currently hold stars. All three-starred restaurants in Hong Kong from last year’s guide kept their trio of stars.

In Hong Kong, six restaurants have received new stars, with Italian eatery Noi awarded two Michelin stars for the first time.

Cristal Room by Anne-Sophie Pic, a French restaurant managed by the celebrity chef, was awarded one star, as was Feuille with its “root-to-shoot approach dishes, finessed by French techniques”. Other one-star newcomers include Racines, Mora, and The Legacy House.

Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guide said Hong Kong is a melting pot that embraces diverse talent, with chefs from around the world returning to their hometowns, and foreign chefs bringing their specialties and know-how to the industry.

“Despite some economic challenges, and as reflected by the promotion of two restaurants to two MICHELIN Stars, both cities’ culinary scenes are making positive progress, fostering a healthy and vibrant F&B industry,” he said.
