Private cars allowed overnight travel through Huanggang and Shenzhen Bay ports during LNY holiday

Private cars with dual license plates of the mainland and Hong Kong will be allowed to cross the border at night through the Huanggang Port and Shenzhen Bay starting tomorrow until next Tuesday (Feb 13).

The Office of Port of Entry and Exit of the Shenzhen government is anticipating a large number of inbound and outbound travelers at various ports of Shenzhen between Saturday (Feb 10) and the following Saturday (Feb 17). An estimated daily average of 700,000 crossings is expected, with a peak of over 800,000.

The Office has advised travelers to pay attention to the cross-border transportation arrangements and stated that the highest influx of inbound travelers is expected on Sunday (Feb 11) and next Saturday (Feb 17), while the peak for outbound travelers will be on Monday (Feb 12) and Tuesday (Feb 13).

Both Shenzhen and Hong Kong governments will adjust transportation arrangements at ports as needed.
