Inter Miami CF is set to play a one-off exhibition match on February 4, with Messi leading his teammates, including fan favorites Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, against a selection of Hong Kong’s top players from the First Division League, marking the first-ever international tour for the David Beckam co-owned club.
The organizer announced today that the tickets will be distributed to students, grassroots families, and athletes in Hong Kong for them to watch the team’s open training on February 3.
Some players from Inter Miami will attend two events in the city, meeting with young football players in Hong Kong.
Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, said he hoped Inter Miami’s visit will inspire young athletes in Hong Kong and ignite their passion for pursuing their sports dreams.
Those who were unable to purchase tickets can watch the match through free television broadcasts on the day of the event, he said.
A spokesman for the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau said the government is working with the official charity partner of the match organizer and various National Sports Associations and non-governmental organizations to distribute the tickets for the opening training session on February 3.
