Abused Corgi dog found dead in Yuen Long

A corgi that had its mouth tied shut was found dead in Yuen Long on Monday morning.

At 11.30 a.m. today, police received a report stating that a corgi was suspected of being abused in Pat Heung.

Police were alerted to the work site near Kam Ho Road in Yuen Long and discovered that the corgi had had its mouth tied with a cable tie.

The corgi was declared dead on the scene after a medical examination.

The police alerted the employees of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The incident was listed as an "animal cruelty" case and was handed over to the Yuen Long police district for follow-up.

The possibility cannot be ruled out that the corgi's body was abandoned near the work site after being abused to death in another location.
