Media veteran Lam Chiu-wing has died at the age of 61 as his death was confirmed by Sun Sai-shing, a close author friend of his on Tuesday.

Lam’s death has also been confirmed by separate sources.
He was husband to pro-establishment column writer Chris Wat Wing-yin.
Sun mourned his dear friend in a Facebook post published this afternoon. It is understood that Lam died of blood cancer.
Lam graduated from the Department of Chinese of the then-Hong Kong Baptist College in 1986, and had taken up roles including emcee, host, creator and writer for multiple movies and TV series starting in the early 90s.
Lam was also on the production team for shows such as the Miss Hong Kong pageant, The Mad Mad Comedians, and the TVB Anniversary Gala Show.
He also earned himself the nickname of “superman” after hosting Commercial Radio program “18/F Block C” for many years and he was once the host of RTHK program “Headliner”.
