According to current requirements, registered teachers should notify the Teacher Registration Team of the bureau of any changes in personal particulars, including correspondence addresses and phone numbers, within one month.
Teachers holding teaching positions in publicly funded schools, kindergartens, international schools, and private schools offering a formal curriculum, can submit teacher registration information to the bureau through the schools or the bureau’s e-Services Portal.
As for those serving in schools that have not submitted relevant information, and/or do not have access to the bureau’s e-Services Portal, they can now use the newly launched e-Platform to submit personal particulars.
A spokesman said to ensure the appointed teaching staff are fit and proper persons for employment, the bureau requires schools to seek consent of the applicants and apply to the bureau to enquire about their registration status before confirmation of appointments.
The spokesman calls on teachers to submit or update information through the e-Platform as early as possible to enable schools to receive expedited notifications of the teacher registration information enquiry results from the bureau.
Therefore the recruitment process will be smoother should they apply for teaching positions in the future.
The e-Platform for Registered Teacher Information can be accessed here.
