Sino shopping malls ramp up bonus attractions to help bolster economy

In response to Government’s call for a concerted effort to activate economic activities, Sino Group has organized a multitude of entertainment events and bonuses at its nine shopping malls and at Lee Tung Street in Wanchai. The promotional campaigns will cover the Mid-autumn festival, the National Day celebrations, Halloween and all the way to Christmas.

On top of the earlier announcement that 10,000 free coupons will be given away to redeem alcoholic drinks to stimulate night spending, Sino Group will be offering an extra hour free parking at selected malls on spending $100 or more after 6 pm.

Olympian City will be hosting a ‘Travel Fun Carnival’ from 15 to 17 Sep with the highlight of an auction with no reserve price on Friday and Saturday. The array of fantastic items includes staycation at The Fullerton Ocean Park, buffet dinner for two, and more. Meanwhile Tsim Sha Tsui Centre and Empire Centre will feature a ‘Cheers Fiesta’ after 9 pm on designated weekends until 31 Oct, while bar-hoppers can try special free drinks at Alfresco Lane at Tsim Sha Tsui East.

With the biggest contingent of Hong Kong athletes competing at the impending Hangzhou Asian Games from 23 Sep to 8 Oct, Olympian City, Tuen Mun Town Plaza, Citywalk and One North will be broadcasting the HOY TV live coverage of the sporting event every day and night. During this period, Sino Group, in collaboration with AlipayHK, will be giving away over a-million-dollar worth of AlipayHK night consumption cash vouchers to supporters to cheer on our athletes.

The Mid-autumn festival this year will be doubly joyful with the Tuen Mun Town Plaza organizing a Food Market until 29 Sep. At 9 pm on the weekends of 16 & 17, and 23 & 24 Sep, customers with any purchase after 7 pm will be eligible to purchase abalone, mini mooncakes and other dessert delicacies for $1 on a first-come-first-served basis. Also look out for big discounts and cosmetic gift packs at the mall’s BEAUTY WORLD.

Customers who spend up to $500 in a single transaction after 8 pm at Citywalk between 29 Sep and 2 Oct can redeem a draught beer from the craft beer stall at the night market, while customers at China Hong Kong City, Tsim Sha Tsui Centre and Empire Centre will receive free festive lanterns. And if that’s not enough, supporters at the TV Asian Games broadcast at Olympian City on Mid-autumn festival day will be treated to yummy mooncakes!

Not to be outdone, Lee Tung Street will be decorated with no less than 800 lanterns until 23 Oct. Make sure you’re there at 8.30 pm on 29 Sep (Mid-autumn Festival Day) to watch the 19-metre long LED Fire Dragon Dance performance.

For the young and young-at-heart, Sino Group has laid out a Halloween parade at Alfresco Lane where you can showcase your imaginative costume, while the traditional Trick or Treat festivities await at the Gold Coast Mall. If you appear at Lee Tung Street in a Halloween costume, you qualify for a free drink, and body paint with a spending receipt.

And finally, Christmas! It’s not as remote as you think. For your quintessential Instagram photos, you can’t go past the wonderful Yuletide decorations and dazzling lights at Tsim Sha Tsui East and Lee Tung Street.
