HKO issues special weather alert, warns of heavy rain and strong gusts

Out of the 2023 Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education exam candidates, 16,618, or 34 percent of students, have applied for their results to be rechecked and remarked.
According to the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, the figure is 1 percent more than last year.
Of the 15,815 students, there is a total of 37,682 applications for remarking a subject or component and 172 applications for rechecking a subject.
Results of HKDSE review appeals are tentatively scheduled for release on August 16. School candidates will receive the result of the rechecking and remarking through SMS, while private and evening school candidates will receive their results through mail.
The Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) Office or other tertiary institutions concerned, as well as the Education Bureau, will also be informed simultaneously of the revised results of the candidates involved.
