The Hong Kong Golf Club on Friday said it has filed for a judicial review against the environmental assessment report regarding the land at their golf course in Fanling.
The club said the review would mainly target the report’s procedural errors and breaches in regulations.
The club also said they “hope to amplify the procedural justice and the importance of public engagement through the judicial review.”
The club added that it understands the government will recover 32 hectares of land at the club’s Old Course on September 1 and fully cooperate with authorities’ opening and conservation policies.
The Hong Kong Golf Club at Fanling is home to three 18-hole courses and practice facilities. The three courses are the Old Course, New Course and the Eden Course.
