Traffic diverted as ground settlement halts Man Kam To Control Point services

Immigration and customs clearance services at the Man Kam To Control Point have been halted after ground settlement issues were found at the site.

Shenzhen authorities said on Sunday that northbound vehicles and all travelers have to use other control points due to the ground settlement.

Emergency repair work has already commenced.

The Transport Department said in view of the emergency situation, the control point has been temporarily closed until further notice.

“The northbound trips of Man Kam To cross boundary coach services would be diverted to travel via Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point, and the service frequency would be revised from 30 minutes to around 45 minutes. Operator would display notices to inform passengers of the above service arrangements.

“Other Man Kam To cross boundary vehicles, including private cars, coaches and goods vehicles, please use other boundary control points to travel to Mainland.” The department said.
