Customs seized a batch of suspected smuggled goods, including about 8,000 Bluetooth earbuds and 28,000 printer parts, at the Lok Ma Chau Control Point.
Officers intercepted a cross-boundary goods vehicle, declared as carrying printed circuit boards, at the border control point on Saturday. The batch of suspected smuggled goods, worth around HK$720,000, was seized inside the cargo compartment during the inspection.
A 59-year-old male driver is under Customs' investigation.
Under the Import and Export Ordinance, any person found guilty of importing or exporting unmanifested cargo is liable to a maximum fine of HK$2 million and imprisonment for seven years.
