Visitors flock to Global Sources Hong Kong Show

Four-day event comprises both physical and virtual shows to meet surging demand worldwide for sourcing of the latest products in electronics, lifestyle and fashion.

One of the largest professional sourcing events held in Asia in the last three years, the Global Sources Hong Kong Show kicked off on October 11 with a sizable turnout of buyers and suppliers, who expressed delight at the show’s exceeding their expectations.

Featuring almost 1,000 exhibitors from Asia and showcasing over 20,000 innovative and exceptional products, the four-day event is a one-stop shop divided into four specialized shows: Consumer Electronics, Mobile Electronics, Smart Home, and Lifestyle x Fashion.

“We are pleased to see buyers’ enthusiasm for visiting and sourcing at our physical show, which is a positive sign that will boost confidence in the trade show industry,” commented Hu Wei, CEO of Global Sources.

Visitors to the event are presented with a wide range of popular products that reflects major market trends such as consumption upgrades, developing technology, the pet product market, environmental protection, and sustainable development.

A/V equipment, computer products and peripherals, and general electronics have drawn attention at the Consumer Electronics show, while mobile devices & accessories, and mobile A/V products, have been the standouts for buyers at the Mobile Electronics show.

Buyers at the Smart Home show are interested in smart living products, appliances and security products, while those at the Lifestyle x Fashion show look for fashion and accessories, outdoor sports and leisure products, personal care products, home products and décor, tableware, kitchenware, and pet products.

Also drawing a steady flow of visitors are the special zones for Jiangsu products and the Korea and Ningbo pavilions with their extensive range of designs that reveal their industry strength and innovation capability.

Physical and virtual shows maximize sourcing efficiency

To meet the rapid rebound of global sourcing demand post-pandemic, the physical event runs concurrently with the Virtual Show website where online buyers around the world “attend” the show, browse onsite products and have real-time conversations with exhibitors.

From 11 October to 30 November, buyers can find live streaming video clips on the Virtual Show page, accessible from GlobalSources.com and the Global Sources app, and explore quality suppliers in the Popular Exhibitors section. Live streaming footage is also available on Global Sources’ channels on Facebook and YouTube.

Likewise, for suppliers who cannot attend the show in person, Show Ambassadors proficient in Mandarin, English and Cantonese showcase their products, demonstrate their business strength and convey selling points, thereby capturing quality sales opportunities and increasing their chance to close successful deals onsite.

The physical and virtual shows are expected to attract more than 100,000 buyers worldwide.
