Man molested girl in accessible toilet arrested

A 56-year-old man who indecently assaulted a 12-year-old girl in an accessible toilet was arrested on Wednesday.

The man approached the victim last Saturday at Cherry Street Park in Tai Kok Tsui, alleging that she broke a swing and ask her to explain to the management office.

The girl was then taken to an accessible toilet, where the man locked the door and molested her for several minutes.

The girl reported to the police after fleeing the park. Officers checked the closed-circuit television to trace the man's whereabouts. The unemployed man was eventually arrested at a hotel in Mong Kok.

Police believed he did not know the girl and was randomly looking for a target to commit the crime.
