Twenty-six students sat for the Diploma of Secondary education examinations in the exam rooms of Penny’s Bay isolation facility, with two students dropping out due to illness as the exams entered their fifth day.

About 44,500 students took the Chinese Language 3 (Listening and Integrated Skills) exam on Wednesday, the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority announced.
The Authority said that among the 26 students in Penny’s Bay, nine took the exam there due to the quarantine order, and 17 were there because they were infected with Covid-19.
There was one application from a student requesting an isolated exam room in Penny’s Bay this morning, while two candidates chose not to sit the exams due to sickness, the Authority added.
Today’s exam is staged at 477 hall exam centers, 250 classrooms, and 637 special exams centers for students with special educational needs.
