Alexandra Wong Fung-yiu, 65, was charged with two counts of participating in an unlawful assembly. She allegedly took part in a protest at Exit A of Quarry Bay MTR Station on August 11, 2019, and another assembly on the same day on Kornhill Road, near Exit C of Tai Koo MTR Station in Sai Wan Ho.
She did not need to take plea for the time being.
Wong said on Thursday that she wanted the court to deny her bail.
The chief magistrate granted her bail on the condition that she cannot leave Hong Kong. She must surrender her travel documents, live at the reported address and report to the police once a week.
Wong did not accept the bail conditions, and has been remanded.
The case will be adjourned until April 13, but the court will reconvene on February 10, pending confirmation from the defendant that she has received all the documents from the prosecution.
