A young woman and an elderly man died after they were hit by a speeding vehicle which lost control, ran onto a sidewalk and crashed head-on into a shop in San Po Kong.

Three other pedestrians were also hit by the car and sustained injuries.
The incident took place at around 6pm tonight on Tai Yau Street. According to dashcam footage, a speeding yellow vehicle lost control and scraped the right-hand side of a taxi. It then ran onto the sidewalk and crashed into a shop located on the ground floor of Winning Center.
According to sources, a 23-year-old woman was certified dead at the scene and medics covered her body with a red blanket.
Four others also sustained injuries and were rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and United Christian Hospital. However, a 63-year-old man surnamed Lee was later pronounced dead at United Christian Hospital.
Police have cordoned off the area and to investigate the cause of the incident.
The 25-year-old male driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He will be remanded in custody overnight.
The driver passed the alcohol test and drug test, and no drug was found in the yellow car.
