A 50-year-old woman was fined HK$5,000 on Thursday for leaving compulsory quarantine early.
Graham Lee Kwok-hung, 50, was earlier issued a compulsory quarantine order for 14 days, but she left the place of quarantine on March 26, before the expiry of the order.
She was charged with leaving the place of quarantine without permission and was fined HK$5,000 by the Fanling Magistrates' Courts.
A spokesman for the Department of Health said that as of Thursday, a total of 195 people have been convicted by the courts for breaching quarantine orders and have received sentences, including immediate imprisonment for up to 14 weeks or a fine of up to HK$15,000.
