Two men were arrested after sniffing shoes of Tuen Mun female resident

Two men were arrested on suspicion of loitering after they were found wandering outside a unit in Tuen Mun and sniffing the shoes of women living there. 

The police received a report from a woman on Monday saying that she and her neighbors living at Affluence Garden in Tuen Mun had noticed someone smelling the shoes they left outside. Two local men, aged 30 and 31, were arrested in the same building after the police investigation. 

Preliminary investigation showed that the two arrested do not know each other, nor the residents. The police said that they will conduct further investigation on the motive of the two, as well as the reason for them committing the same crime.

The police said the victim and her neighbors staying on high alert helped advance the case's investigation. They installed closed-circuit television once they had noticed the suspects so that the police can capture their appearance.
