Island Pacific Hotel did not shutter: Sino

Island Pacific Hotel in Sai Ying Pun did not shutter, but it has been closed to individual guests after it is rented by an organization to keep its staffers. 

Island Pacific Hotel Hong Kong, which is located close to the liaison office, put up a sign saying it has suspended operations until further notice.  A staff said the hotel has stopped operating since yesterday.

Sino Hotels said the hotel has entered into a long-term rental contract with an organization. It did not spell which organization it is.

Island Pacific Hotel is one of the participating hotels of Hong Kong Tourism Board’s “Staycation Delights” scheme. A hotel staff said no reservation under the scheme has been made. They will inform customers who have made reservations for rooms and dining for further arrangement. 

HKTB replied that they have taken Island Pacific Hotel out of the list since last Friday. 

Sino Hotels deleted all information regarding Island Pacific Hotel on its website. The social media platform of the hotel also shut down.
