Ma On Shan female "Tarzan” busted

A woman who caused an internet sensation for bathing naked in a pond has been warned by the police today for starting fire inside a Ma On Shan country park.

In a video which went viral last Friday, a woman bathed without a care in a pond near Ngau Wu Reservoir in Ma On Shan.

Sources say the woman was spotted again at 11am today, as she started to wash her clothes and brush her teeth.

She was later discovered by a patrol of tens of police officers and staff from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department.

The officials issued the woman a warning, suspecting her of starting a fire there. The woman’s ID was also recorded.

She later left the stream with her belongings riding her bike.

According to the source, there are warning labels at the scene stating no person shall obstruct or pollute any stream, watercourse, pool or body of water, or could face prosecution.
