Services on seven railway lines including the Tung Chung Line, Tuen Ma Line Phase 1, Kwun Tong Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Island Line, Tseung Kwan O Line and West Rail Line will be enhanced starting October 19, a statement said.

An MTR spokesman said they have previously adjusted their train service in view of the drop in passengers of the railway networks.
As part of the latest enhancement, train frequency on the Tung Chung Line and Tuen Ma Line Phase 1 during non-peak hours on weekdays and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays will be stepped up.
Train services for Tung Chung Line are currently running at 10-12 minutes interval, and Tuen Ma Line Phase 1 running at 6.5-10 minutes interval during non-peak hours.
As for the Kwun Tong Line, Tsuen Wan Line, Island Line, Tseung Kwan O Line, and West Rail Line, their train service on Saturdays will be enhanced.
