At least four couples’ footage has been leaked online, after being filmed by CCTV cameras installed at a party room in Yau Ma Tei.
With the ongoing pandemic, many party rooms offer discounts to attract customers. According to reports, there were videos being posted online recently, showing couples getting intimate in a party room in Yau Ma Tei, with some involving nudity.
Reports say after the videos went viral, some of the victims were angry and suspected that the person in charge of the party room is the culprit, saying they would report to the police.
The report also quoted Ms. Wong, claiming to be the person in charge of the party room, saying they did install the security cameras inside the party room, but never posted any video online intentionally.
She said the footage did capture some customers getting intimate inside their party room, however, the videos that leaked online should be his boyfriend sharing the videos with his friends, but eventually the videos were posted online. He claimed he already felt guilty of doing that.
She stressed that the party room has posted signages reminding customers that there were CCTV cameras installed in the party rooms, denying they intend to spy on their customers.
