No matter whether you prefer eating in or eating out, it's always a joyous moment to dine with friends and family during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Executive chef Johnny Chan of Sing Yin Cantonese Dining has it all covered.
The Mid Autumn set menu A (HK$980) features dishes such as honey-glazed barbecued pork, double-boiled fish maw and conch soup and crispy crab shell stuffed with crab meat.
Those looking for a more lavish meal can opt for the Mid Autumn set menu B (HK$1,180), which includes dishes from set menu A with luxurious extras such as baked crab shell stuffed with crab meat, foie gras and cheese and fried rice with braised abalone and duck meat.
Or you can pick your favorite in the a la carte menu. A highlight is the smoky crispy chicken with Chinese tea smoked with lychee tea. The chicken is sprinkled with 25-year-old vintage pu'erh and tieguanyin to balance the flavor of the aged tea with the natural oils of the meat (HK$658 for a whole bird).
Other dishes include roasted Peking duck (HK$838), marinated in a fragrant osmanthus paste, crispy Japanese sea cucumber (HK$468), and pan-fried spotted garoupa fillet (HK$328).
The Regent Hotel's chef Lau Yiu-fai has also created a Full Moon dinner menu for an indulgent reunion. There are two choices available: the HK$1,388 course has double-boiled fish maw and Marcella and black chicken while the HK$1,688 ups the ante with lobster and asparagus as well as bird's nest soup.
Not available for dinner? Book the Mid Autumn Festival Reunion luncheon menu (HK$538), with dishes such as wok-seared French obsiblue prawns with soy sauce and braised whole abalone and seafood on crispy taro net.
Those willing to splurge a little can opt for the HK$638 menu for a choice of double boiled fish maw and sea whelk, or the Mid Autumn Festival Bountiful Harvest luncheon menu (HK$918) for the braised African fish maw in oyster jus and minced Thai crystal shrimp stuffed in Chinese black mushrooms.
At Chineseology, chef Saito Chau offers a 10-course Summer Degustation Delight menu (HK$1,488).
Available until September 30, the menu integrates five elements of Chinese cosmology, featuring dishes such as Japanese amadai with lobster, or creme brulee with 20-year tangerine.
A must try is the free range chicken with osmanthus and oolong tea leaf.
Just because you're dining out doesn't mean you have to enjoy your mooncake separately.
The Chinese Library is offering an eight-course dinner (HK$999) from September 9 to 12, featuring dishes such as shrimp dumpling with scallop and asparagus, as well as king crab and sea urchin spring roll.
Tieguanyin tea mooncakes will be served to all dinner guests on September 9 and 10.
Hutong also celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival with a 10-course dinner (HK$880), available until September 30.
Guests can enjoy dishes such as charcoal yu xiang crispy pork dumplings and steamed cod with Sichuan green peppercorn, as well as the Bee's Dream cocktail - a mix of Tanqueray gin, chamomile cordial, cardamom, honey, lemon and pineapple.
Dinner guests will be served tieguanyin tea mooncakes on September 2, 3, 9 and 10.
Of course, you can't have Cantonese cuisine without some dim sum. Dim Sum Library dinner guests will also be served distinctive owl-shaped longjing tea and egg custard mooncakes on September 9 and 10 as well.
Join the Dim Sum Cruise on the Aqualuna (HK$399), where you can enjoy oolong tea mooncakes for every two guests. The mooncakes are also available for those who attend the Afternoon Tea Cruise (HK$399) from September 8 to 11.
Make your Mid-Autumn dining experience memorable with the Martell Mid-Autumn Festival pairing dinner menu (HK$2,380). Available until the end of this month, the eight-course menu highlights four different Martell cognacs: the Cordon Bleu, Noblige, VSOP and XO.
Highlights of the course include double-boiled Buddha Jumps Over The Wall, filled with the finest ingredients along with a spoonful of Martell Noblige double-boiled in a Cantonese chicken soup.
Other dishes include braised Ah Yat abalone with goose web and vegetable with Martell Cordon Bleu, and deep-fried crab claw with Martell Noblige.
Martell has also partnered with local bakery MoonYuet to launch a mooncake gift set, featuring two Martell Noblige flavored mooncakes and two traditional lotus with salted egg yolk mooncakes.
Another way to heighten your Mid-Autumn dining experience is through music.
The Peninsula returns with its Ode to the Moon jazz dinner on September 10 and 11. Celebrating both Chinese and Italian traditions of food, family and the moon, guests can enjoy a four-course menu that highlights classic Italian preparations.
Dishes include Boston lobster ravioli with burrata, girolles and basil, and guests can choose between pan-fried cod or roasted US beef tenderloin for mains. Enjoy the food with good live Italian music performed by internationally renowned jazz performers.
