Creative brand AllRightsReserved (ARR), the organizer and curator behind the touring exhibition “100% DORAEMON & FRIENDS,” announced on Monday that the show will open in Tokyo on March 27, following a successful run across several Asian cities since its debut in Hong Kong in July 2024.
After its Hong Kong premiere, the exhibition toured cities including Shanghai, Bangkok, Guangzhou, Taipei, Wuhan, and Kaohsiung, attracting large crowds and bringing Doraemon’s imaginative world to audiences across the region.
The upcoming Tokyo stop will be staged at TOKYO DREAM PARK in Ariake, a new entertainment complex in the Japanese capital, and will run from March 27 to September 30.
To celebrate the Tokyo launch, ARR staged Japan’s first Doraemon-themed drone light show in the skies above the city last weekend. The display recreated several classic Doraemon scenes previously presented in Hong Kong, while introducing four new original designs created especially for the Tokyo edition, including sakura-themed Doraemon and an onigiri-inspired Doraemon, offering a playful preview of the exhibition.
The international success of the Hong Kong-curated project will also be celebrated locally with the “100% DORAEMON SAKURA FEST,” which will take place from April 3 to April 19 at Hysan Place in Causeway Bay.
Timed to coincide with the cherry blossom season and the Easter holiday period, the event will allow Hong Kong fans to experience the newly designed “Sakura Doraemon” character and a series of themed figures featuring Doraemon and his friends.
Spanning three floors of Hysan Place, the festival will combine themed installations, interactive experiences and exclusive merchandise. A pop-up shop located at the ground floor entrance on Kai Chiu Road will offer a wide selection of themed collectibles, along with vending machines and capsule toy stations inspired by the Doraemon universe.
On the first floor, visitors will find a Doraemon craft workshop where fans can create personalized fabric tag keychains. The same level will also feature a themed photo booth and additional capsule toy machines.
Meanwhile, the atrium on the fifth floor will host an interactive game zone with two activity booths designed to engage visitors in playful challenges.
Among the highlights of the festival will be a series of newly designed merchandise items, many of which will debut in Hong Kong for the first time. One of the most popular products from the exhibition tour — plush keychains — will return with new variations, including the Sakura Doraemon and Onigiri Doraemon designs, alongside seven brand-new character styles created especially for the Hong Kong event.
The pop-up shop will also introduce selected souvenirs originally produced for the Tokyo exhibition, allowing local fans to purchase items that would otherwise only be available in Japan.

To manage visitor demand, entry to the limited shop will require advance booking. Admission passes will be available through the KLOOK platform starting at 11am on April 1, with visitors required to reserve specific time slots.
In addition, ARR’s official DDT Store website will open a limited-time online presale for selected merchandise from March 31 to April 2, available to customers in Hong Kong and selected regions. Fans who place orders online may collect their purchases at Hysan Place from April 6, or choose delivery beginning April 9.
Once the festival officially begins on April 3, all merchandise will be available exclusively at the Causeway Bay experience store, giving fans a chance to celebrate Doraemon’s enduring charm while welcoming the character’s creative journey back to its birthplace in Japan.
