Semiconductor display maker Everdisplay Optronics (Shanghai) filed for a Hong Kong listing on Wednesday, aiming to raise funds for research and development of new semiconductor display technologies and to repay debt.
The company ranked as the largest manufacturer of medium-to-large-sized AMOLED semiconductor display panels in China and the second largest globally by cumulative sales from 2022 to 2024. It cited consulting firm CIC in its prospectus.
The company said it ranked among the top three globally and held the largest market share in China by annual sales volume in the tablet and notebook display segment from 2022 to 2024, capturing 73.3 percent of the domestic market among Chinese manufacturers, according to an exchange filing.
It also ranked fourth globally and second in China in the automotive display sector over the same period, based on cumulative sales, the company said.
