The clip, uploaded on the mainland social media platform Xiaohongshu under the caption, “Hong Kong female driver is so pretty and cool! Double-decker bus handled with ease,” shows the long-haired driver smiling warmly as she responds to passengers on board.
Netizens were quick to react, describing her as “really pretty,” “nice smile,” “gentle,” “stylish,” and “a true example of women being just as capable as men.”
Others said she looked “very young” and “pleasant to watch,” with some adding that Hong Kong has “plenty of young female bus drivers.”

Because of the video’s soft lighting and polished feel, some users initially suspected it might have been generated by artificial intelligence. The original poster rejected the claim, saying the footage was taken at the Cross-Harbour Tunnel Bus Interchange near Hong Kong Polytechnic University, adding that “I’m not the only one who saw this bus and this driver.”
According to netizens, the driver was operating a sightseeing-style route with a fare of HK$47.6, offering night views of Hong Kong. The Cross-Harbour Tunnel Bus Interchange is one of the stops along the route, prompting some to joke that “even the sightseeing bus needs a bit of star power.”
Others shared sightings of the driver on different routes. One user commented, “I took H2 in Central before and saw her preparing to drive H1.”
Beyond admiring her appearance, many also praised her career choice. One netizen wrote, “A Hong Kong girl with such high looks choosing to be a bus driver is really admirable.” Some even extended the compliments to her colleagues, adding that “Hong Kong’s male drivers are also quite handsome.”
