The "Joy to the City - Passing on the Joy, Welcoming the National Games" themed event showcased various animal-shaped lanterns including pandas, horses, jade rabbits, and dolphins, alongside mascots for the upcoming National Games.
Visitors enjoyed six themed lantern zones, DIY riddle-solving activities, and handicraft markets. The traditional Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance performance arrived at the park around 10:30 pm, drawing large crowds around the main stage.

A couple from Hung Hom brought their four-year-old daughter to experience the festival atmosphere, noting this year's celebrations felt more vibrant than previous years. Another visitor from Mong Kok came with his partner after dinner to enjoy the festive ambiance, particularly praising the panda-shaped lantern display.

A Mr. Fok specifically visited the park after family dinner, describing the event as crowded with excellent atmosphere and beautiful lantern decorations, though he hadn't yet seen all displays.
