Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Christopher Hui Ching-yu is set to depart Sunday evening for Slovenia and Poland.
Hui is visiting Slovenia on the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Republic of Slovenia, Klemen Boštjančič. He will join a panel discussion at a high-level event which will gather members of the European Commission and the Eurogroup, as well as ministers of finance or senior financial officials from various countries and financial experts.
In addition, Hui will attend an event hosted by the largest chamber of commerce there to promote the advantages of Hong Kong's financial markets, to attract European enterprises and investors to come to Hong Kong and utilize the city as the perfect platform to enter the Asian and Chinese markets.
He will then proceed to Poland where he will visit the Warsaw Stock Exchange, and meet with government officials and the business sector. He will also visit two Chinese enterprises which expanded in Poland to explore how Hong Kong can better leverage its professional services and advantages as one of the top three international financial centers, to support more businesses in their international ventures.
Secretary for Transport and Logistics Mable Chan announced that the government has reached an air services agreement with Poland and Hong Kong will expand its aviation network. She mentioned that authorities will continue to prioritize the expansion of air routes, focusing on promising markets such as South America and the Middle East.

She noted that the city's airport ranks among the best globally for passenger and cargo services, with flights reaching over 200 destinations worldwide.
Hui will return to Hong Kong on September 27. During his absence, Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury Joseph Chan Ho-lim will act as the Secretary.
