In June 2025, the DSD awarded XDX a two-year contract valued at HK$6.8 million to supply approximately 940 metric tons of sodium bisulfite solution—a critical chemical used for dechlorination.
This essential safety process removes residual chlorine from disinfected wastewater before its environmental discharge, ensuring that the effluent meets environmental standards.
Following the suspension of the company's bottled water contract by another government department, the DSD outlined its stringent verification protocol.
Chemical shipments are immediately sampled upon arrival at the treatment plant, and these samples are then subjected to independent laboratory analysis to ensure strict compliance with technical specifications.
The department has stated that all test results conducted since the commencement of the contract confirm that the supplied chemicals fully meet the required standards.
They emphasized the continuous monitoring of both the supply chain and product quality.
The DSD maintains this vigilance to safeguard uninterrupted plant operations and environmental protection, confirming that Xin Ding Xin remains fully compliant with all chemical supply requirements under this specific agreement.
