Hong Kong's High-Speed Rail network will add seven new stops starting July 1, increasing the total number of connected destinations to 96 across mainland China.
The new stops include two within Guangdong province—Enping Station in Jiangmen and Lechang East Station in Shaoguan—both reachable within two and a half hours from Hong Kong.
These additions will improve access to western and northern Guangdong, offering faster travel options for both business and leisure passengers.
Beyond Guangdong, the expansion introduces five more intercity connections, including Jingdezhen North in Jiangxi, Xianning North in Hubei, Luohe West in Henan, and Hunan's Furongzhen and Leiyang West stations.
The upgrade also enhances other major routes, such as new direct services from Shenzhen North to Taiyuan South in Shanxi province and from Guangzhou Xintang to Fuzhou in Fujian province.
