Henderson Land will host "A Light Among Us – Memorial Exhibition of Dr. Lee Shau Kee" from May 1 to 5 at Cloud 39, the rooftop ballroom of The Henderson.
The free public exhibition commemorates the life and legacy of the late founder, showcasing personal artifacts, rare photos, and insights into his journey from gold apprentice to property tycoon.
A four-chapter tribute
The exhibition unfolds in four thematic chapters:
"Scaling New Heights" - Dr. Lee’s rise from a gold shop apprentice to a real estate pioneer, featuring his family’s gold scale and cherished pocket watch.
"Laying the First Stone" - A recreation of his office, highlighting his leadership philosophy of loyalty and integrity.
"Blessings Through the Generations" - Intimate family moments and stories from four generations of the Lee family.
"Quiet Nurturing" – A reflection on his philanthropic legacy, including thank-you letters from students and his 2007 Grand Bauhinia Medal.
Visitors can also pay respects at a memorial garden and admire "Allium", a permanent floral sculpture by British artist Jenny Pickford, symbolizing resilience and life.
