Hong Kong will host the prestigious Saudi Super Cup next month, marking the tournament's first-ever appearance in East Asia.
The five-day football extravaganza will take place at Hong Kong Stadium from August 19 to 23, featuring Saudi Pro League's top four clubs - reigning champions Al-Ittihad, runners-up Al-Hilal, third-place Al Nassr, and fourth-ranked Al-Qadsiah.
The competition kicks off on August 19 with a semifinal clash between Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr and league winners Al-Ittihad. The following day will see Al-Hilal face Al-Qadsiah in the second semifinal. The victorious teams will advance to the championship match on August 23 at the 40,000-seat Hong Kong Stadium.
Ticket sales begin next Tuesday at noon through travel platform Klook, with football fans expected to scramble for seats to witness some of the world's highest-paid football stars on Hong Kong turf.
The event promises to bring a new wave of football fever to the city, featuring squads packed with international talent beyond Ronaldo, including Karim Benzema (Al-Ittihad) and Ruben Neves (Al-Hilal).
