FWD records a 7 percent rise in value of new business in Q1

FWD (1828) recorded a 7 percent rise in value of new business to US$314 million in the first quarter. 

The insurer’s new business sales were up 4 percent to US$720 million on an annualized premium equivalent basis. 

New business contractual service margin was US$556 million, with year-on-year growth of 18 percent.
