Wall Street climbs as tech rebound gathers momentum

US stocks rose on Monday, kicking off the holiday-shortened week on a positive note, as technology stocks continued to rebound from last week’s selloff, while investors awaited key economic data later this week.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.45 percent, the S&P 500 gained 0.58 percent and the Nasdaq Composite added 0.59 percent.
