The 59-year-old man who died in a taxi accident this morning was a Tai Po resident married with two children, sources said.

The man surnamed Cheng died as a red taxi crashed into an safety island in Tai Po. Nine others including Cheng's wife were injured.
As of 6.30pm, five injured remain hospitalized in Tuen Mun and Prince of Wales Hospital. Among them, two women and a man were in critical condition.
A 37-year-old woman who is five months pregnant is in serious condition. Another man is in stable condition. Two others have been discharged.
The man who died in the accident lived in Fu Heng Estate in Tai Po with his wife, a son and a daughter.
He worked as a food processing worker, and usually went out shopping with his wife during weekend. The two were shopping in Tai Po city center before the accident.
The couple was crossing Kwong Fuk Road when they were hit by the taxi. Cheng was declared dead at the scene, while his wife was sent to Prince of Wales Hospital for treatment.
Cheng's sister broke down in tears on the roadside. Other family members did not dare break the news to his mother in her 90s.
Other citizens also laid flowers and burned incense at the safety island to pay tribute to Cheng.
