One person died and at least eight others were injured after a taxi crashed into a safety island on a Tai Po road.

The 63-year-old taxi driver has been arrested for dangerous driving causing death.
At around 11am, the red taxi drove onto the island on Kwong Fuk Road, hitting multiple pedestrians.
A pregnant women became trapped underneath the vehicle, but was rescued after good Samaritans helped lift the taxi.
A four-year-old and an elderly women were sent to Prince of Wales Hospital.
Another woman was sent unconscious to North District Hospital.
The remaining two women and a man were slightly injured and were sent to Nethersole and Prince of Wales Hospital.
Fire services deployed seven ambulances to the scene. One person was certified dead.
The police are investigating.
