The boss, originally from Chaoshan, said he admires the management philosophy of local retailer Pang Donglai and opened about seven or eight shops in Xuchang. At the event, he gave each employee a one-gram gold note with his signature, worth about 500 yuan. Since opening, he has distributed about 80 to 90 grams of gold.

He also offered tens of thousands of yuan in cash for a money-grabbing activity. For two pregnant employees, he gave each a 10,000-yuan red packet and pledged 10,000 yuan for their first child and 20,000 yuan for the second, with full pay and job security during maternity leave.
He said the gesture came after one pregnant employee hid her condition fearing job loss. Most staff are mothers, and he said sharing profits meaningfully reflects his father's teaching that "money can't be earned entirely" and recognises their dual efforts at work and home.
