On the morning of January 23 (Thu), May experienced severe seizures. The park's veterinary team assessed her condition and concluded that it was no longer treatable. Euthanasia was administered to alleviate her suffering.
In the months leading up to her death, May had been experiencing a continuous decline in weight and had difficulty moving due to severe muscle loss. Despite receiving medication, her condition failed to improve.
The news of May's passing has prompted an outpouring of condolences from netizens, who expressed their hope that she may rest in peace.
In a similar incident, an Arctic fox named Circle was also euthanized at the park in December of the previous year after suffering from seizures.
