Attention cyclists, this year’s Sun Hung Kai Properties Hong Kong Cyclothon will be held on October 13, with applications open this Friday (August 16) until August 23.
The event will have over 6,000 slots for its 50- and 32-kilometer rides. Cyclists can also sign up for the “Family Fun Ride” and the “City Cycling Challenge around Greater Bay Area”.
The event will start with a 50km ride at 5.15 am, and unlike last year, cyclists will pass through an extra tunnel. Cyclists will pass through six districts, including three bridges - Tsing Ma Bridge, Ting Kau Bridge, Stonecutters Bridge, and four tunnels - Cheung Tsing Tunnel, Nam Wan Tunnel, Eagle's Nest Tunnel and the newly added Sha Tin Heights Tunnel - before returning to West Kowloon.
Meanwhile, last year’s 30km ride has become a 32km ride this year, with Ting Kau Bridge added to its route.
Cyclists aged between 16 to 70 can sign up for the two events, with a registration fee of HK$600 and HK$280 respectively.
