Siobhan Haughey has qualified for the women's 200m Freestyle semifinals at the Paris Olympics on Sunday after finishing second in the heats.

The 2020 Tokyo silver medalist, allocated to Heat 2, started the race strong and took the lead for the first 150 meters, but she was overtaken in the final 50 meters by Chinese swimmer Li Bingjie.
Haughey finished 2nd place at 1:56.38 in the heat -- fifth-fastest in the prelims -- and was among the 16 fastest to qualify for the next round.
Separately, 19-year-old Hong Kong foilist Daphne Chan Nok-sze debuted at the Olympics and won a thrilling match against Japan's Sera Azuma with a score of 15-14.
Chan later lost the round of 16 bout to 33-year-old fencer Anne Sauer from Germany at 8-15.
Another Hong Kong fencer Cedric Ho Wai-hang bowed out from the men's epee event at the round of 32 after losing 15-9 to Japan's Masaru Yamada.
Hong Kong rower Chiu Hin-chun kept his medal dreams alive after finishing second in his repechage with a time of 7:12.94 and squeezed into the quarterfinals of the men's single sculls.
As for table tennis, Doo Hoi-kem suffered an unexpected upset in the women's singles event and lost 4-1 to Pyon Song-gyong from North Korea.
