HKTB is the first tourism organization to forge a global strategic partnership with Art Basel. Starting with Art Basel Paris, to be held at the prestigious Grand Palais this October, the Board will serve as the official Show Partner to set up thematic immersive experience zones or activations at the annual shows of Art Basel.
Others include Art Basel fairs in Miami Beach, Hong Kong, and Basel over the next three years.
"By sharing the city's unique character through immersive experiences and exhibitions at the world's most prestigious art platform, we hope to inspire travelers to visit our city and discover its thriving creative community and rich cultural experiences," said Dane Cheng Ting-yat, the executive director for the HKTB.
Art Basel CEO Noah Horowitz said the partnership could enhance the experience for the fair visitors while unlocking new opportunities and fostering deeper connections between Hong Kong and art communities around the world.
