The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) recommends the Wan Chai Harbourfront area, including the Water Sports and Recreation Precinct and the HarbourChill area, as the best vantage point.
The vantage point will be equipped with sound systems so that viewers can be thoroughly mesmerized by the performance.
An ice cream truck will be stationed near the entrance of Wan Chai Pier to give out free soft serves from 6pm to 8pm, on a first-come, first-served basis while stock lasts.
The second drone show organized by the Board is tentatively scheduled for June 10, the day of the Dragon Boat Festival. It will also be staged at the Wan Chai Promenade venue at 8 pm.
In addition, according to the HKTB website, the second dazzling marine pyrotechnic display will light up the sky at 8 pm on June 15, with the launch site switched to the Wan Chai harbourfront area.
The show will last for about 10 minutes.
HKTB held its first pyrotechnic show at Tsim Sha Tsui on the Labour Day holiday (May 1), attracting many locals and tourists who enjoyed the view.
