Hairy crab specialty store Old San Yang announces closure after four decades in business

Renowned Old San Yang, a Causeway Bay store famous for hairy crabs, announced it would be closing permanently.

The director, Sandy Ki Yuk-fung, said the closure is unrelated to rent and business issues. She added that she wants to enjoy the fruits of her hard work upon retirement.

Ki said she has spent a lot of time working at the store and would love to follow in her peers' footsteps by taking care of the grandchildren and traveling the world.

A number of customers rushed to the store as the closure was announced, and Ki said she had no regrets.

Ki said she would donate the remaining stocks to the charities to put a good end to the story.

She didn't announce a specific date for the closure to maintain a low-key approach and expressed gratitude for customers' support.
