MTR announced Monday that the service hours of In-town Check-in at Hong Kong Station on the Airport Express Line will be extended to 11 pm starting from Thursday (Feb 1).
The service - starting from 6 am daily - is available from one day before the scheduled departure time of flights until at least 90 minutes before the takeoff.
Passengers can use the smart kiosks to complete the check-in process, while those who have already completed online check-in can print their boarding passes and baggage tags at the kiosks.
In addition, four self-service bag drop counters will be introduced starting in February, offering passengers a seamless connection and hassle-free ride to the airport.
Currently, the In-town Check-in Service is only available for Cathay Pacific passengers, and MTR said it will continue to coordinate with other airlines on their service arrangements.
The rail giant has also deployed porters at Airport Express Hong Kong Station and Kowloon Station to assist passengers by offering help with luggage handling and gate access, etc.
